"A DROP DE ISSEY Eau de Parfum Essentielle," which will be added to the collection, was inspired by morning mist. It is a vegan fragrance that is filled with light and airy. It comes in a vibrant green bottle with the fresh scent of plants encountered during travels in nature.

Starting with nature, the inspiration for "A DROP ISSEY," ISSEY MIYAKE PARFUMS presents the beauty of the world through a unique olfactory journey that celebrates nature, which is filled with amazing energy, and which is expressed in different ways and further refined. Once again, perfumer Ane Ayo captures the essence of nature, unearthing hidden treasures and unexpected beauty. Her approach is light, elegant, and lyrical—these are the defining qualities of this collection.
With Issey Miyake A Drop d'Issey Eau de Parfum Essencière, perfumer Ane Ayo continues to capture the journey of a drop through nature. Captured in the scent of plants and flowers encountered during the journey, dew dissolves into the air in the first rays of the dawning sun. While water is of course the main ingredient of the resulting fragrance, it is a floral fragrance imbued with an unprecedented light.
The top note is a crisp, fresh green accord. Following this are clean, fresh green notes capturing a refreshing moment full of energy, followed by soft, blooming flowers. The middle note transitions to an aquatic floral accord, with moist magnolia and lilac blending together on the breeze. The final note, marking the end of the journey, is a musk that envelops you in light. The fragrance rises like the sunlight at the moment of dawn, creating a finale.

Spending her childhood in Bilbao, Spain, she studied in the UK, then moved to Germany, and has since worked in France for many years. Ane Ayo's personality is a blend of European cultures. After earning an MBA in Pharmacy and Business Management, she enrolled in the Grasse Institute of Perfumery to study scents, which had interested her since childhood. There, she studied under perfumer Philippe Romano, an expert in natural fragrances. She is currently employed by the fragrance company Firmenich.
A Sustainability-Conscious Fragrance
Infused with elegance and uncompromising attention to detail, A Drop d'Issey Eau de Parfum Essentière is not only enveloping and alluring, but also environmentally conscious. Striving for sustainable production, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the fragrance is made with 82% upcycled or ethically sourced natural ingredients. The perfume is also vegan-certified. The bottle is made with 12% recycled glass. The outer packaging is made from FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) forest management certified paper*. The eye-catching metallic green, which echoes the bottle design, adorns the new drop.
*The ingredients are harvested from forests managed with consideration for the global environment.

The campaign for A Drop d'Issey Eau de Parfum Essentière was created by Japanese filmmaker Yu Yamanaka. In his unique worldview, water is a symbol of energy and life, connecting with the various elements of nature in all its forms and states. In a vibrant, dreamlike world, Yu Yamanaka transports the viewer to a lush forest, a place where every drop breathes life into nature on its journey. Magnolia and lilac petals dance in time with the rhythmic movement of the drops, symbolizing the floral notes in this ethereal fragrance.
