This collaboration is based on Chloé and Teva's shared belief that "design should inspire freedom of movement and exploration."
Founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, Chloe aimed to liberate women from the stiff fashion of the time by offering elegant and modern clothing and pioneering ready-to-wear with a focus on ease and femininity.
Teva was born about 30 years later in 1984, when a river guide on the banks of the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon attached two hook-and-loop bands to his flip-flops to stop them from floating downstream.

The two brands have combined these philosophies to launch the lightweight and dynamic Chloé x Teva sandal series. The Chloé x Teva collection reimagines Teva's iconic silhouettes, the HURRICANE XLT 2 and HURRICANE XLT 2 AMPSOLE, with classic and playful recycled straps featuring the Chloé logo, and features an outsole made from 50% recycled rubber, a material with a lower environmental impact, for durability and traction.
Inspired by the rave theme of Chloé's Spring/Summer 2023 collection, the HURRICANE XLT 2 comes in natural white, while the HURRICANE XLT 2 AMPSOLE comes in black, white, and multicolored pink.

Chloé and Teva are united by their respective strong social and environmental sustainability strategies. As part of its shift to a purpose-driven model, Chloé has published the Maison's sustainability report as an open resource and introduced Vertical Projects (a collection of products with unique digital IDs that allow users to trace their manufacturing process from field to finished product) and the Women Forward partnership, which works with NGOs and social enterprises working to close the gender gap.
In 2020, Teva transitioned to 100% traceable and verifiable recycled plastic for its webbing, eliminating 72.8 million plastic bottles and 30,000 kilograms of industrial waste. Teva's Corporate Responsibility program encourages companies to focus on the broader impacts of their activities on employees, customers, communities, and the environment as a whole. As part of this program, Teva has set science-based targets for water, energy, and greenhouse gas reduction, and plans to achieve these targets by 2030.
