The Isetan online store will be accepting orders for Tsumori Chisato's 2020-21 Fall/Winter collection for a limited 72-hour period, from 10:00 AM on February 28th to 10:00 AM on March 2nd.


Tsumori Chisato's domestic operations ended with the 2019 Spring/Summer season, and Chisato Tsumori's design firm, T.C., has been producing collections for overseas stores in countries such as Russia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. With the exception of a few items, the Fall/Winter 2020 collection will only be available for pre-order in Japan.

The theme of the collection is "Wonder Forest." A mischievous smiling cat, mushrooms, and playing cards under a blue sky. A young girl wanders into a "mysterious forest" born from Tsumori's imagination. It is a mysterious world that is both Alice and not Alice, and changes shape according to the girl's wishes.

A variety of materials, including double-faced cashmere, cut jacquard, and silk chiffon, are processed using high-level techniques from Japan, China, and India to faithfully recreate Tsumori's world. The lineup includes dresses covered in sequins and embroidery, silk-cotton down jackets, and gingham check styles.

The made-to-order method of delivering products not only allows the brand to deliver products to those who truly want them, but also leads to sustainable production by preventing the production of unnecessary clothing. Designer Tsumori says, "By having customers order directly, we don't have excess inventory, and new items that they love are sure to reach the people who want them.
