Jean-Paul Goude continues to be active as an artist, illustrator, and advertising designer. This book features drawings, collages, and sketches from his world-famous advertising campaigns for CHANEL fragrances such as Egoiste, COCO, and CHANEL N°5. These creative elements are being made public for the first time. Goude also created the COCO campaign with Vanessa Paradis as a small, caged black bird. He also appointed Estella Warren as the face of the CHANEL N°5 campaign. He also constructed the entire facade of the Palacio del Riviera in Rio de Janeiro for the Egoiste ad. And he even featured the ghost of Gabrielle Chanel herself in the COCO commercial. This book explores the imagination and creative process behind these unforgettable images.
