German baby and children's products manufacturer Cybex will open its first directly managed store in a department store on February 19th on the 6th floor East Park of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building. The new "MELIO CARBON" stroller series will be available for pre-sale.


Cybex is popular in Europe and around the world for its high-quality design and safety. The new store in Isetan Shinjuku will carry a wide range of Cybex brand products, from the "MIOS" stroller, which is designed with sizes and features suited to Japanese living environments, to car seats, which are highly regarded in Europe for their safety. The highlight of the grand opening is the early sale of the new stroller series, the Melio Carbon, a reversible stroller (stroller) designed with European ideas and made for Japan.

The Melio features a straight frame structure that was developed to make it easy to push on Europe's cobblestone streets, and the force applied to the handle is transmitted directly to the wheels, making it an appealing ride. The lineup includes two types of frame materials: the "Melio Carbon," with a lightweight, flexible carbon frame that provides a comfortable ride, and the "Melio" with an aluminum frame (scheduled for release in April), making these strollers both easy to ride and lightweight. They can also be used for children up to 15 kg (from 1 month to around 3 years old), and maintain a smooth ride even as the child grows and gains weight.

Pre-sales of the "Melio Carbon" will begin on February 19th at select stores, including Cybex Isetan Shinjuku, with general release scheduled for March 1st.

To celebrate the opening, the first 100 people to purchase the new "Melio Carbon" at Cybex Isetan Shinjuku will receive a special cup holder as a gift.
