Paul Smith, a leading British fashion lifestyle brand, and Boffi de Padova, a luxury Italian furniture brand, will unveil the second installment of their collaborative project, the "EVERYDAY LIFE" collection, at Milan Salone in April 2023. This project was born from the fusion of de Padova's pursuit of sophisticated luxury and Paul Smith's creativity, which continues to envision ideas that go beyond the boundaries of fashion. This partnership, based on a shared sensibility, has inspired each other in terms of style and sustainability, allowing the two brands to explore new solutions.

"For just his second season, Paul Smith joins De Padova's roster of designers, which includes some of the greatest names in Italian and international design," said Roberto Gavazzi, CEO of Boffi De Padova. "He creates a coherent vision based on emotions and dreams, and the products are the natural outcome."

The collection includes a wide range of sofas, poufs, armchairs, coffee tables, and leather living room accessories. It also introduces a modular sofa that can be assembled and arranged in various ways to create an intimate, harmonious atmosphere for the modern home. The collection also expands into outdoor (garden) furniture, where distinctive silhouettes and high-performance features, such as outdoor fabrics and Iroko frames, elegantly respond to the growing interest in open-air living.

"We've expanded and perfected our collection to suit the diverse needs of modern living, from breezy city apartments to seaside cottages. And we're excited that the modern home is extending outdoors - the garden is the new living room," says Paul Smith.
While craftsmanship, colour and individuality are at the heart of the design, comfort and ergonomics are equally important. Blending form, function and individuality, the collection's clean lines also reflect Paul Smith's tradition of unexpected details in fashion, as evidenced by the understated contrast stitching on the cushions.

The back of the sofa is adorned with small coloured straps that evoke Paul Smith's signature "stripes". Additionally, the joints pay homage to the designer's love of traditional Japanese chests of drawers.

The collection is characterised by a clever use of colour, from classic and vibrant to muted and vibrant, and is designed from a considered and refined palette. Not only is the colour used, but every detail of the process is environmentally friendly, demonstrating a responsible approach to sustainability. Materials used are naturally derived, environmentally friendly materials such as linen, kapok and recycled feathers, and the frames are fully biodegradable.

Reflecting the core values of both Paul Smith and Boffi de Padova, this collection offers a new vision of modern living, adding a touch of luxury to designs for everyday life.
