Uniqlo U's Spring/Summer 2020 collection, created by the design team at the Paris R&D Center led by Artistic Director Christophe Lemaire, will be available in stores and online in Japan from February 21st (some items are already available).

This season's collection features 55 women's styles, 36 men's styles, and 4 merchandise items, updating everyday wear to be more modern, functional, and sophisticated.

The women's collection features pieces inspired by independent women who travel the world. The lightweight cotton "Parachute Pants" feature large pockets and reinforced knees, combining design and functionality. Another key point is that you can enjoy the silhouette of both wide-leg pants and track pants by fastening or unfastening the buttons at the hem.

The jersey jacket and pants, born from the idea of a "travel suit," are not only soft to wear but also have a smooth and elegant silhouette. Another item not to be missed is the lightweight sheer cotton button-down shirt, which will come in handy for a relaxed look.

The men's collection takes inspiration from vintage workwear and military wear, but features items that incorporate various details such as silhouette, fit and materials into a more modern and relaxed atmosphere. The Cuban shirt, a long-loved part of the men's wardrobe, has been reconstructed into a modern design, making use of its light cotton fabric and open collar, while also incorporating minimalist pintuck details.

The "hooded coat," which is based on an authentic military jacket, has a contrasting color on the inside, giving it a sophisticated look.

Prices are expected to range from 4,990 yen to 14,900 yen for outerwear, 2,990 yen to 3,990 yen for knitwear, 2,990 yen to 3,990 yen for pants, 1,990 yen to 4,990 yen for dresses, 3,990 yen for skirts, 3,990 yen for shoes, 2,990 yen to 3,990 yen for shirts, 1,990 yen to 3,990 yen for bags, 1,000 yen to 3,990 yen for cut and sewn items, and 990 yen to 2,990 yen for swimwear.

The full lineup of items can be seen at 65 Uniqlo stores and the Uniqlo online store (www.uniqlo.com/UniqloU). With the exception of some items already on sale, the collection is scheduled to go on sale from February 21st.
