ANNA SUI will hold the second event of its new project, "SWINGING TOKYO," starting on November 13th at Isetan Shinjuku and Hankyu Umeda Main Stores, followed by a nationwide event. Items created in collaboration with illustrator Masami Yanagida will be on sale.


"Swinging Tokyo" is a new project by ANNA SUI, a fashion brand with a deep knowledge of art and music, to send a message to today's Tokyo. The theme of this event is "POPTIMISTIC," a combination of "Pop" (pop art) and "Optimistic" (optimistically hopeful), which is also the theme of ANNA SUI's Fall 2019 collection. Illustrator Masami Yanagi has drawn original illustrations inspired by the world of Anna Sui, and collaboration items will be developed under the supervision of stylist Rika Endo.


The magic wand that Masami Yanagi has created with the spirit of the collaboration has a shadow pattern that is printed on socks and mugs. There will also be a range of everyday items such as towels and phone cases featuring Anna Sui's favourite unicorn motif.


Also, a sweatshirt with a dresser-style chair pattern rubber printed on the front, combined with a new logo created for this event, gives it an unprecedented street style finish. This unisex item can be used by both men and women, making it the perfect gift for the Christmas season.

In addition, there will be rose-scented sachets and candles in a triple collaboration with Maeda Sachiko's candle brand "Vida Felice", as well as limited-edition handmade cookies from "micarina", a popular pastry chef known for cute, grown-up icing cookies.

Fujiya's long-selling product "Milky" will also be collaborating for the first time with Anna Sui. As a triple collaboration with Masami Yanagida, the product will be released on packaging featuring Peko-chan wearing a rose-patterned dress, a popular item from Anna Sui's Fall/Winter 2019 collection, holding a magic wand designed by Yanagida.

Limited-time events will also be held at the Isetan Shinjuku store, Hankyu Umeda Main Store, and Anna Sui Nagoya Parco store. "Anna Sui x Masami Yanagida x Digital Customization" is a special event where you can customize your favorite illustration from approximately 50 illustrations created by Masami Yanagida exclusively for Anna Sui and design a T-shirt or pouch on the spot. The cost is 3,900 yen for a T-shirt and 1,200 yen for a pouch, and printing takes approximately 10 minutes.

In addition, customers who purchase Anna Sui x Masami Yanagida collaboration products worth 10,000 yen or more will receive a hand-drawn caricature by Masami Yanagida on a first-come, first-served basis. The first 15 people to arrive will be able to choose from the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building 2F on November 13th, the first 15 people to arrive each day on November 16th and 17th on the 3F of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store, and the first 15 people to arrive on November 23rd at the Anna Sui Nagoya Parco store.

At each store, customers who purchase Anna Sui Swinging Tokyo products will receive an original gift package. The Anna Sui Japan official website will be releasing the products at 10:00 on November 13th, but gift packages will not be available.
