CoSTUME NATIONAL is holding a "black"-focused exhibition, "Black Hologram," at the gallery "LAB" inside its flagship store in Minami-Aoyama.

The exhibition features only artworks centered around black, designer Enno Capasa's favorite color. The white-box gallery space is likened to a canvas, with multiple black artworks coming together to create a dramatic drama. The space aims to express Enno's creative thinking, which is how she draws inspiration from artwork daily and then transforms it into a collection.

Hiroshi Sugimoto's neuron-like photographs, Nobuyoshi Araki's desolate monochrome skies, and Wolfgang Tillmans' lustrous black plates reveal unexpected sides to the artists.
