It was a Monday, a public holiday in October, around 10am. This time, I went to "Knit", a five-minute walk from Kinshicho Station in Tokyo. This cafe is well known for its fluffy, thick pancakes, but in fact, it also serves delicious "Neapolitan", an essential dish on any cafe menu.
Sometimes, why not forget all about your daily work and the tension you feel and go out for tea with that special someone?
Knit Cafe was once a knitwear factory.
Knit Cafe was once a knitwear factory. I was drawn to the history of the cafe, which is said to have taken its name from that period, and so I wore a knitwear sweater on this day.
Of all the cafes we've visited so far in the "Weekend Cafe Club," Knit is one where time flows in a particularly gentle way.
I recommend this place for happy days, sad days, days when you want to rest your weary mind, or even as a place to meet up with that pure cafe-loving person who's still a little nervous.

All the staff at Knit, including the owner, are really gentle. The atmosphere is so comfortable that you'll find yourself staying for hours...and before you know it, you'll be there for hours. By the time you leave Knit, you're sure to feel completely satisfied in both body and mind. There are 50,000 good cafes and coffee shops in Tokyo, but this place is a little oasis.
Well, that's enough of an introduction. Because the "Neapolitan" that I was looking forward to today has arrived at our table.

The piping hot steam rising from the cake is proof that it's freshly made. (It's a bit frustrating that it can't be seen clearly in the photo)
The silver plate, the Neapolitan, and the Aran knit. The contrast is also very appealing.
You'll be impressed when you take your first bite of the Neapolitan after rolling it up with a fork. The firm, chewy spaghetti is satisfying and delicious. Even if you don't like the soft, squishy Neapolitan you get at cafes and coffee shops, you should definitely give this a try. The way it's fried is addictive...! I only got one plate to share, but I wish I could have eaten a little more.
"Hotcakes" with coffee or tea, 830 yen
"Hotcakes" with coffee or tea, 830 yenOf course, we also ordered the thick hotcakes, a specialty of Knitwear. Each one is a special menu item, baked slowly for 20 minutes. By the way, they can only bake three at a time, so if there is an order placed before us, the next order will have to wait 40 minutes. (People who ordered after us were told it would be a 60-minute wait.)
But even so, you still want to try them, don't you? Be sure to order some of their fluffy hotcakes.

Please come to Cafe Knit on your next day off.
That's all for the Weekend Cafe Club.
