"RENLI SU" is a brand founded by designer RENLI SU in 2013 after graduating from the London College of Fashion.

Designer RENLI has an interest in history, and believes that clothing can record the development of human history while also appealing to emotions, so she explores the concepts of "time and memory" through clothing.

"The existence of a piece of clothing is longer than a human life. When creating a piece of clothing, the designer gives it a soul, imbuing it with time and memories. After a customer purchases the clothing, it is imbued with another layer of time and memories as it is worn in various places," says designer RENLI.

RENLI SU is characterized by the reprocessing of natural fabrics and traditional hand-finishing techniques. Designer RENLI travels the world, visiting artisans and searching for natural fabrics, while portraying the image of an elegant woman unaffected by time and trends amid the whims of urban life.

RENLI SU is available in Japan at Dover Street Market Ginza. It can also be purchased online at Farfetch (farfetch.com).

SHUSHU TONG

SHUSHU TONG is a brand launched in 2014 by designers LIUSHU LEI and YUTONG JIANG while they were students at the London College of Fashion.

The two designers have been fascinated by Japanese anime since childhood, and remain fascinated by Japanese culture to this day. The concept of "SHUSHU TONG" is "a sophisticated modern woman who retains the heart of a girl," and it combines the image of an anime-like girl with the taste of a modern urban woman, exploring the balance between girly and feminine.

Come to think of it, I have a connection with SHUSHU TONG, and I saw their new product launch at Shanghai Fashion Week a few years ago. When I entered, they handed out Japanese Showa-era style stickers, and after enjoying the wonderful show, I was unexpectedly asked to "put a sticker on the white dress the model was wearing." That's how playful the brand is.

Incidentally, SHUSHU TONG also appeared at Amazon Fashion Week 2019 A/W in Tokyo in March of this year. I look forward to seeing them continue to be active in Japan.

"SHUSHU TONG" is available in Japan at select shops K3 and BEAMS SELECT. It's also available on online shopping sites Farfetch (farfetch.com) and ssense (ssense.com)!

So, everyone! Did you find a favorite brand? China's fashion history is still young, but it feels like it's just getting started. We look forward to seeing Chinese designers continue to make their mark on the world stage.
