Balenciaga's limited-time special event, "Balenciaga Ephemeral Handbag Shop," will be held at the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building from September 25th to October 8th, and at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store from September 25th to October 1st. Bags from the 2019 Winter Collection will be on display, and in-store personalization will also be available.

Inspired by the customizable landscape of intentionally destroyed public spaces, such as those found in transportation stations, the venue is reminiscent of an open area on a busy street, recreating a busy bus stop. The industrial surface has been personalized with scratches and graffiti that have been applied or rubbed away.

In addition to bags from the Winter 2019 collection on display at the venue, a graffiti artist will be in residence on September 25th, 28th, and 29th during the event, to personalize selected bags on the spot by adding a name, initials, or birthday date. This includes bags from the latest BALENCIAGA HOURGLASS and BALENCIAGA SHOPPING bag lines.
