The fifth series of the "Lemon Life Design School," run by art director Tetsuya Chihara and led by Lemon Life, will begin in Tokyo on October 26th. Applications are open until October 20th.
The "Lemon Life Design School" is a design school run by Tetsuya Chihara, creative director of the design company Lemon Life. Each session features a distinguished group of creators active at the forefront of various industries, providing an opportunity to learn about their thinking through lectures and social gatherings. In response to requests for the school to be held in Tokyo in addition to Kyoto, the previous fourth series was held in Tokyo. Due to overwhelming popularity, the fifth series will now be held at Shibuya Laughout, marking the second time the school has been held in Tokyo. The fifth term will consist of 16 sessions, running from October 2019 to March 2020. This year's guest instructors include Tetsuya Chihara, art director/artist Rika Eguchi, editor/fashion creative director Ayumi Gunji, LeaR Inc. representative/creative director Kenji Kobashi, Yukokoto, popular creator/YouTuber Yuko Sugamoto, designer/model Emi Suzuki, artist Noritaka Tatehana, space composer/JTQ representative Junji Tanigawa, SUPPOSE DESIGN OFFICE Co., Ltd. representative Makoto Tanijiri, stage director Terry Ito, Smiles Inc. representative Masamichi Toyama, comedian/picture book author Akihiro Nishino, and ANREALAGE designer Kunihiko Morinaga. With the cooperation of Yoshimoto Kogyo, participants will work in groups to create advertising and promotional plans for Yoshimoto. The course is supervised by Chihara Tetsuya, creative director Kosugi Koichi, and comedians Grunge's Gomyo Takuya and Toyama Daisuke, and the winning design will be selected and the person will have the opportunity to be involved in production.
In the past, the course has been attended by a wide range of people, from high school students to business managers, and people in their teens to those in their 50s, as well as those involved in design. Why not experience the essence, fun, and possibilities of "design" as envisioned by Lemon Life?
