The "DESIGN MUSEUM JAPAN 2025: Collect and Connect Japanese Design" exhibition will be held at the National Art Center, Tokyo in Roppongi, Tokyo, from May 15th to 25th, 2025.

The "DESIGN MUSEUM JAPAN" exhibition is in line with the "Design Museum Japan" program broadcast on NHK, and aims to promote the appeal of local areas through exhibitions and highlight a single "design museum" throughout Japan. This time, the exhibition will center around eight "design treasures" researched in 2024.

The eight creators introduced this time are graphic designer Atsumi Kikuchi, contemporary artist Aiko Miyanaga, architect Yoshiharu Tsukamoto, interior designer Hisae Igarashi, video craft artist Seiichi Hishikawa, product designer Naoto Fukasawa, and designer Miyamae The exhibition aims to inspire many people across Japan to realize that design is all around us, enriching and energizing our daily lives. By having leading creators research the lifestyles and cultures of various parts of Japan and introducing designs with rich stories that the world has yet to discover, the exhibition aims to inspire many people across Japan to realize that design is in fact all around us, and that it adds richness and vitality to our daily lives.

In addition, in order to reconstruct the program into an exhibition, the exhibition was supervised by design historian Sakura Nomiyama, with the cooperation of Design-DESIGN MUSEUM, a general incorporated association. Architect Tsuyoshi Tane was in charge of the venue design, and graphic designer Ken Okamoto was in charge of the graphic design, and the exhibition embodied what the creators felt in each location.
