Finnish fashion brand Ivana Helsinki will open a pop-up shop at Ginza Mitsukoshi from February 11th to 15th.
The pop-up shop will focus on the 2015 Spring/Summer women's collection, "Moomin by Ivana Helsinki," a collaboration with Moomin. This collection will be available nationwide before the rest of the year. The design features original visuals and patterns based on Tove Jansson's original drawings, adding a fantastical touch to the brand's melancholy and pure designs.
The store will also sell a Ginza Mitsukoshi-exclusive shopping bag (5,400 yen). There will also be an exhibition by designer Paola Suhonen, revealing the thoughts she puts into each piece and design. Additionally, on February 14th, a talk show will be held by Kuniko Morishita of Hakusensha's MOE editorial department, who has been covering Moomin for many years. The film "Moomin: A Fun Vacation on the Southern Seas" will be released nationwide on February 13th. To commemorate this, the first 15 people to purchase a dress or sweater at the pop-up shop will receive a free movie ticket.
