From March 11th to 17th, the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building's TOKYO Liberation Zone will host an event called "TOKYO up coming," showcasing cutting-edge, unique designers active in Tokyo.

The lineup features seven brands, each with a strong sense of individuality and expected to make great strides in the future. The brands, chosen with keywords such as layered looks using sheer and mesh, light colors, and colorful patterns—trends that are also popular for the 5SS season—will be the first to bring the breath of spring to the store.

TAMAKI FUJIE, known for its innovative mix of different materials, will offer items that can be enjoyed paired with other brands, such as a striped top (23,000 yen) that would be perfect for a resort day, and a striking skirt (112,000 yen).

LAMARCK has a selection of beautifully sheer items, such as cut jacquard tops (29,000 yen) and cut jacquard slim pants (39,000 yen).

If you prefer a chic monochrome look, we recommend the ruffle shirt (25,000 yen) and layered tulle skirt (25,000 yen) from differess. If you like to play with color, why not try the blouson (48,000 yen / available exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku store) or skirt (26,000 yen) from KOTONA?

AKIKO AOKI is a brand created by a designer who graduated from an all-girls school, whose designs reflect the feelings of her student days. There are plenty of items, such as sheer blouses (21,000 yen) and long skirts (48,000 yen), that will bring back memories. If you want to subtly incorporate mesh, a material that's all the rage this year, we recommend tiit's dresses (24,000 to 25,500 yen) and mesh shirts (17,000 yen). The remaining brand, nocca, offers accessories. Made by pouring lavender and other colors into resin, these ear accessories (3,500 to 5,000 yen), brooches (4,700 yen), rings (9,000 yen), bangles (8,500 to 9,000 yen), and necklaces (9,000 to 10,000 yen) are sure to be fun to mix and match with items from other brands featured in the project.
