The world's first shop for Rodda's, the world-famous British dairy manufacturer of clotted cream, will open on the second basement floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi on August 21st.

"Cornish Clotted Cream" (331 yen including tax)

Founded in 1890 in Cornwall, England, Rodda's is a long-established company that continues to make clotted cream using traditional methods, using only rich, fresh local raw milk.

The most distinctive feature of Rodda's clotted cream is, without a doubt, the presence of the "crust." Cream made from rich raw milk is slowly steamed in a low-temperature oven, which forms a yellow film on the surface of the cream, called the "crust," which acts as a lid to preserve the cream's flavor and silky texture. It has a rich yet unique taste that melts in your mouth. This special cream is essential for enjoying scones to their fullest. This clotted cream is also recognized as Cornish clotted cream and has been granted Protected Designation of Origin status, just like champagne and Parmesan cheese.

"Scones" (from 261 yen including tax)

Rodas, which has been watching over British afternoon tea culture for over 100 years, has a recipe that lives up to its name. Made with a base of fragrant French wheat and a blend of several types of flour, the scones are kneaded with butter, yogurt, and clotted cream, and then hand-kneaded to give the dough a firm texture before being baked to a moist finish. The plain scones have a subtle aftertaste of lemon and vanilla. Enjoy them topped with jam and clotted cream and with milk tea.

"Banana Bread" (1,296 yen including tax)
In addition, there will be a selection of over 20 types of sweets, including "Shortbread" (1,801 yen including tax) imported directly from the UK, "Fudge" (1,681 yen including tax) released on September 1st, "Banana Bread" (1,296 yen including tax) baked moistly with clotted cream kneaded into the dough, and "Lemon Bread" (1,296 yen including tax).
