On March 3, 2023, Nina Ricci unveiled its Fall/Winter 2023 collection, the debut of new Creative Director Harris Reed, at Paris Fashion Week.

Inspired by the romantic mood of the house's vibrant couture shows of the 1980s and 1990s, the collection embodies Nina Ricci's femininity and optimism through finely pleated tulle, bold polka dots, jewel-toned colors, and bold silhouettes. This season, Reid's gender-fluid lens delivers flattering tailoring, energetic loungewear, glamorous outerwear and spotlight-worthy dresses, enlivened by oversized everyday accessories.

"Growing up as a queer person in Arizona, French fashion was an escape for me. Nina Ricci felt like a Parisian ideal: dreamy, romantic, and inclusive, with a deep respect for femininity," said Creative Director Harris Reed. "My first collection for Nina Ricci respects the House's incredible history while reinterpreting feminine codes for a modern customer in a way that is poetic, humorous, and fluid. I want to offer clothes for people who enjoy wearing clothes with meaning and purpose. I am thrilled to be able to usher in a new era for Nina Ricci, making it more inclusive and exciting than ever before."

This collection pays homage to the archives while at the same time reaching for today's pop culture with playful proportions and silhouettes, an optimistic color palette and a youthful spirit. A feminine wardrobe blends tailoring, evening wear, sportswear and denim, transitioning from day to night. Trailing, cocoon-shaped coats in striped and cheetah-print faux fur are the perfect complement to sequined loungewear. Evening wear includes taffeta dresses adorned with eye-catching bows and fishtails, and covered in polka dot and micro-pleated tulle. All looks are elevated with platform heels, enhancing the collection's glamorous atmosphere.

The couture-inspired fabrics are reproductions of textiles from the Maison's archives. Glittering fabrics like taffeta, tulle, Chantilly lace, and double-faced crepe are interwoven with modern staples like denim, leather, and faux fur.

Collaboration with Charlotte Tilbury
For the Fall/Winter 2023 makeup collection, Nina Ricci collaborated with British luxury makeup and skincare brand Charlotte Tilbury. Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury and her global team bring their signature glamorous style to the fluid, romantic collection of the new Nina Ricci collection.

Collaboration with Jeanine Brito
Paintings by German artist Jeanine Brito are featured on the collection's textiles and show invitations. Self-taught, with a background in painting and graphic design, Brito's work explores themes of memory and desire. This season, he imaginatively depicts archive symbols—the three goddesses, doves, apples, and flowers—in a theatrical, surreal style. Nina Ricci plans to continue its collaboration with Brito.

About Nina Ricci
Since its founding in Paris in 1932 by Maria Nina Ricci and her son Robert Ricci, Nina Ricci has epitomized bold, optimistic femininity. As exemplified by the fragrance "L'Air du Temps," launched in 1948, this fragrance expresses an independent, powerful and artistic sensibility, bringing the wearer to their best. Archival symbols such as the three goddesses, doves, apples and flowers are combined with contemporary craftsmanship. With the appointment of 26-year-old Harris Reed as Creative Director in 2022, the youngest creative mind in the Maison's history will bring a fresh perspective to the Nina Ricci legacy.
