A pop-up shop for VERSUS TOKYO will be held at The Stage on the first floor of Isetan Shinjuku from February 11th to 16th.
This popular event, part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo, combines fashion and music and attracts many fashionistas, not just buyers and the press, and this will be the first time that all the brands that have participated in the event will come together to sell merchandise. There will be a wide variety of limited-edition products from each brand, including the full lineup of Shiseido Men items, which were tied in with the event in October last year. Customers who purchase two or more items will receive a limited-edition original pouch from one of the participating brands. The items on sale will mainly be from the six brands that took part in the third Versa Tokyo in October last year, as well as brands that have participated in the event in the past, such as PHENOMENON and soe, and limited edition items from the latest Tokyo Next brands selected by event organizer THE CONTEMPORALY FIX's Yoshii Yuichi, including HBNAS and DIGAWEL.
Among the six brands that took part in Versa Tokyo last October, one that is likely to attract attention is a reversible MA-1 blouson and T-shirt (5 styles) by TOGA VIRILIS, printed with illustrations by artist Gokita Tomoo. Gokita successfully held a solo exhibition at Mary Boone, a long-established gallery in New York, in January last year, and is currently garnering attention for his retrospective, which ran until December at the Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art. He has previously collaborated with TOGA on T-shirts, and items from last October's collection will be sold in limited quantities. The blouson comes in three colors: khaki, black, and white, and the liner print also features a Gokita motif.
TARO HORIUCHI has prepared sweatshirts and T-shirts with an American flag pattern, created specifically for this pop-up event, in men's sizes that are not normally available.
FACETASM will be selling a camouflage-patterned double-breasted M65 jacket, PHIRE WIRE, which presented its debut collection at the event in October last year, will be selling a flying fish-patterned T-shirt, while MR. GENTLEMAN will be selling a coach jacket in collaboration with Champion, sneakers in collaboration with Keds, and an insulated tote bag containing a jumbo Cozy Corner cream puff. Other items that could make great Valentine's Day gifts include: C.E., a brand run by Skate Thing, which has been in charge of Versa Tokyo's graphics since the first event, and Shiseido Parlour's Mille-feuille au Chocolat, with packaging designed by Nakajo Masayoshi, are sure to be a Valentine's Day item that fashionistas won't want to miss.
