This summer, Edition will be launching a new project, "ART PROJECT “STYLED IN PHOTOGRAPHY”," in collaboration with IMA, a magazine that continues to create connections with art photography through a variety of approaches, including magazines, photo books, and exhibitions.




The first part of the project is "Wearing Photos, Wearing Words - A T-Shirt Collaboration Between Photographers and Words." Edition will be selling T-shirts printed with the works of 10 young Japanese photographers who have been featured by IMA, along with their words. Participating artists are Ishino Ikuwa, Ishiba Fumiko, Itami Go, Ichida Sayuri, Shirai Haruyuki, Takemura Kyoko, Hamada Yuji, Fujiwara Satoshi, Mizutani Yoshinori, and Mihotani Masashi.






 This collaboration interprets the medium of photography in the context of fashion, and was conceived as a way to allow a wider range of people, not just existing photography fans, to interact with art.

For those who are interested in art but feel that purchasing a work is still too difficult...the fact that art photographs are embodied on everyday items such as "T-shirts" will surely make it easier to pick up. Furthermore, if the artist's thoughts are expressed in words and accompanied by the photograph, it will likely deepen understanding and create a sense of attachment.





A total of 10 works are available, each priced at 8,000 yen. The T-shirts are available in three sizes: XS, S, and M. Fifty of each design will be sold (XS: 15, S: 25, M: 10).

Pre-orders will begin on July 19th at the TOMORROWLAND ONLINE STORE (https://store.tomorrowland.co.jp/). They will be available at all EDITION stores from July 27th. The Omotesando store will also be selling replicas of each work and exhibiting photo books by the participating artists, as well as distributing tabloids focusing on the artists.

In conjunction with the release of the T-shirts, the IMA gallery in Tennoz, Tokyo will be holding an exhibition titled "Wearing Photos, Wearing Words - A T-shirt Collaboration between Photographers and Words" from July 19th to July 30th. Be sure to check this out as well.
