On January 24th, COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS held a show in a gallery in a former auto repair shop in Paris's 20th arrondissement.

With music from the film "Eyes Wide Shut" playing, the models appeared in an ominous atmosphere. This season's theme was "ritual." The designer explained that "rituals are a type of concentrated power that is unleashed," and true to his words, the collection was powerful, incorporating a variety of elements.

The collection was richly decorated with a variety of ideas, including a jacket with two bodice fabrics that cross each other toward the center, a jacket with tape-like fabric cut into a spiral, an asymmetrical jacket with a tilted body, and a jacket with appliquéd parts that create a cut-out effect. These were coordinated with voluminous shorts that resembled a skirt.

Motifs by New York-based tattoo artist Joseph Ali Aroa are printed on stretchy material that clings to the skin, and appear on jackets and pants as well as arm and leg covers, adding a touch of color to a variety of looks.

Also noteworthy items include coats with works by Johannesburg-based American photographer Roger Ballen printed on the back. The collection incorporates the works of these two artists while remaining united by the theme of ritual.
