The pop-up fair "BOOKS & JOURNEY STUSSY Livin' GENERAL STORE" will be held at five TSUTAYA BOOKS locations: Daikanyama, Roppongi, Fukuoka Tenjin, Hakodate, and Shonan.
STUSSY Livin' GENERAL STORE is a lifestyle label launched in 2011 by California-based apparel brand STUSSY. The fair's theme is "travel," and a variety of books and items will be on display and for sale, including travel-related tools and books that inspired the first travels. Five selectors have each curated a wide range of items, from apparel and shoes to bags and miscellaneous items like coffee cups.
One of the selectors, Fumiko Sakuhara, is an interior stylist who has worked on styling for numerous magazines, including Vogue Nippon and Figaro japon. Her unique style, which blends diverse tastes, is renowned for its appeal to both men and women. He has also been responsible for the window displays of "Found MUJI" and "INTERSECT BY LEXUSU" and spatial direction for exhibitions. In 2010, he launched his own project, "mountain morning," developing original items in collaboration with brands and shops. Meanwhile, Lucas B.B. founded Knee High Media Japan in 1996. Since then, he has worked on a variety of magazines, including the culture magazine "TOKION," whose innovative approach has garnered attention, especially among young people, as well as kids' and travel lifestyle magazines. He has also expanded his activities beyond magazines, planning and producing events such as the "Tour de Nippon," a cycling tour of Japan. Items selected by Shingo Wakagi, who has continued to photograph his grandfather, including "Takuji," Shinichiro Nakahara, who has worked on numerous brand direction projects for "Landscape Products," and Takahiro Shibata, executive director of the daily necessities catalog "& Premium," will also be on display at the venue. The event will be held from April 24th to May 17th at the Daikanyama store, from May 22nd to June 14th at the Roppongi store, from June 19th to July 20th at the Fukuoka Tenjin store, from July 25th to August 16th at the Hakodate store, and from August 21st to September 13th at the Shonan store.
