CHANEL's iconic watch, the J12, has been redesigned. It will finally be released nationwide on June 5th. Ahead of the launch, an evening event was held on May 21st at the Chanel Nexus Hall in Ginza, inviting celebrities and other related parties.

The ceramic watch, the J12, first appeared in 2000. This reborn J12 retains its traditional appearance and is available in two ceramic colors, black and white, so at first glance, the changes are not immediately apparent. However, upon closer inspection, improvements are evident in a wide range of areas, including the typeface on the dial, the width of the hour and minute hands, the length of the bracelet, and the number of notches on the bezel, accounting for 70% of the total.

At the event celebrating the launch of the new "J12," the watch was introduced alongside a campaign video in a space featuring the iconic black and white. Celebrities from various fields gathered at the venue, including actress Rinko Kikuchi, actor Hiroshi Tamaki, kabuki actor Sennosuke Kataoka, models Ayami Nakajo, Rina Fukushi, and Kurumi Emon, and media artist Yoichi Ochiai. Wearing the new "J12," I spent a special night just for this occasion.

The revamped "J12" campaign features Keira Knightley, Carole Bouquet, and Ali MacGraw. The film features nine people closely associated with Chanel, including Michael MacGraw, Vanessa Paradis, Lily-Rose Depp, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Liu Wen, and Anna Mouglalis. Each person speaks in front of the camera about a "defining moment" that changed their life.
