"Wine and the Sea," an event where you can enjoy tastings of over 100 types of domestic and international wines, will be held for a total of four days, on June 1st and 2nd and October 5th and 6th, at MARINE & WALK YOKOHAMA.
This special market, held twice a year, allows you to enjoy wine tastings and delicious food that go well with them while feeling the fresh sea breeze. Following the popular demand for a return following the first event in 2018, the event will now be held on the first Saturday and Sunday of June and October. Approximately 15 stores will be participating on the day, including wineries from all over Japan, such as eVino, Coco Farm Winery, Wine Diamonds, GRAPE REPUBLIC, Winy Tokyo, and Espoir Shinkawa, as well as international wine importers. By purchasing a wine glass and glass holder (3,500 yen) at the reception, you can sample as many wines as you like from over 100 varieties, and if you find a wine you like, you can purchase it on the spot. For the June event, a selection of wines themed around the sea will be available, including those made on a hill overlooking the ocean, wines that are perfect for enjoying while feeling the sea breeze, and wines with a mineral-rich flavor reminiscent of the sea. The lineup includes wines that evoke the sea, each with a distinct ocean vibe.
And once again, there will be food to pair with the wine. A long table measuring approximately 40m will be specially set up on the seaside promenade where large groups can enjoy wine and food together.
Also, on the day of the event, if you present a receipt for purchases of 5,000 yen or more (tax included) at Marine and Walk Yokohama stores at the reception desk, you will be eligible to receive a free glass of "SAKURA Frizzante," a rare and special wine that is only produced in limited quantities of 500 bottles by Grape Republic Winery in Yamagata Prefecture and is not available through general distribution channels. The first 50 people per day, for a total of 100 people, will receive a free glass.
Based on the idea that "good music goes with good wine," live music such as DJs and guitarists is also played. Why not spend a unique time with friends, family, or a loved one at this special market, where you can immerse yourself in a relaxing seaside space and enjoy wine with all five senses?
