The label for the 2019 vintage of Château Mouton Rothschild (a first growth in the Médoc classification) owned by Baron Philippe de Rothschild in the Bordeaux region of France, and sold by Enoteca Co., Ltd. as an authorized distributor, has been announced.
Château Mouton Rothschild is known for featuring designs by renowned artists on its labels every year. The label for the 2019 vintage features a work by Olafur Eliasson, an internationally acclaimed artist known for his efforts to realize a sustainable society through artistic expression. The work, titled "Solar Iris of Mouton," which refers to a solar observation satellite, features a central oculus (eye socket) representing Château Mouton Rothschild, surrounded by a series of ring-shaped ellipses depicting the sun's path to the village of Pauillac, where the château is located. The background features golden day and midnight blue night, depicting the sunrises and sunsets that occur in the vineyards throughout the year, evoking the intimate relationship between wine and the place where the grapes are grown.

After a warm winter and a cool spring, warm, dry weather and moderate rainfall from July onwards allowed the grapes to reach perfect maturity and reach harvest time. The Cabernet Sauvignon produced excellent results, with well-rounded, powerful tannins blending to create a full body and a long finish. The characteristic aromas of a great vintage are evident, resulting in an outstanding finish.
