This season, MM6 Maison Margiela introduces the "Japanese" bag, one of the most iconic wardrobe accessories of the past decade, as part of the COLORAMA capsule collection.

The "Japanese" bag debuted in MM6's Fall/Winter 2009 collection. Designed after a trip to Japan, the "Japanese" bag is inspired by the centuries-old art of origami. Its triangular silhouette and corner buttons allow it to fold and change shape, like an origami crane. Its soft materials, minimalist silhouette, and unconventional style remain timeless as it continues to evolve. A mini version of the "Japanese" bag was introduced in the Spring/Summer 2022 collection, and all of its previous design codes have been reused and reflected in this capsule collection.

Like an ode to freedom and long summer nights, the "Japanese" mini tote bag comes in a wide color palette that evokes sunsets, sunrises, and summer evenings. This season, the bag is crafted from natural, full-grain leather for a more durable construction, offering durability and a silky soft feel.

This capsule collection will be available from February 15th at a pop-up store at Hankyu Umeda Main Store, as well as at some MM6 Maison Margiela directly managed stores (Isetan Shinjuku, Omotesando, GINZA SIX), the Maison Margiela official online site, the Isetan Mitsukoshi online store, the Hankyu Department Store online store, and at some select shops.
