For Rihanna's captivating Super Bowl halftime show appearance, Loewe Creative Director Jonathan Anderson custom-designed a "flight"-themed outfit.

Inspired by flight equipment, the outfit was designed to build volume in tandem with Rihanna's dynamic performance, marking her first live performance since a six-year hiatus. Instead of the traditional approach of a performer gradually shedding their clothes, Rihanna reversed the reveal, starting in a simple catsuit and then adding new elements as the dancers moved with the music and dance.

A lustrous silk jersey catsuit, crafted in a bold red to match the stage design, forms the foundation of the costume, before being joined by a sculptural leather corset and a cotton canvas flight suit, adding layers and materials to the mix.
