TAG Heuer and Porsche have announced a new collaboration. This bold and sporty new watch pays homage to the world of racing: the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing.
In February 2021, TAG Heuer and Porsche entered into a partnership, forging the strongest relationship ever between a car manufacturer and a watch brand. Following the success of five timepieces that captivated fans of both brands, the two brands are now unveiling their sixth, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing. This new model embodies the eternal passion for racing shared by both brands.
TAG Heuer and Porsche share a shared history and a rekindled passion for racing
TAG Heuer and Porsche share not only a rich history, but also a powerful, independent mindset and a dedication to design excellence. For nearly 70 years, their paths have crossed, both on and off the race track. The unwavering and enduring bond between TAG Heuer and Porsche stems primarily from their shared roots in motorsport. One of the most visible symbols of this common thread is the name "Carrera" itself. The legendary Carrera Panamericana, reputed to be one of the most dangerous races in the world, inspired both brands. Porsche was the first to win its class in the 1954 Carrera Panamericana race, and in honour of this achievement, named the most powerful model, Carrera. Meanwhile, Jack Heuer heard the name of this exciting race from the Rodriguez brothers at Sebring in 1962 and decided to name his new chronograph after it in 1963.
The Porsche 911 Carrera and TAG Heuer Carrera have since become icons in their own right, and the 50th anniversary of the launch of the Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 was recently celebrated in Paris with an event.
Already sharing a proud history of memorable achievements and a fruitful partnership, the partners have now launched a special edition TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph that is a fitting symbol of their racing heritage.

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing is based on the renowned TAG Heuer Carrera Sport Chronograph and follows on from the TAG Heuer Carrera x Porsche Limited Edition. It inherits the quality and performance of the Calibre Heuer 02, an in-house movement entirely crafted at TAG Heuer's Chevenez factory and comprised of 168 components, including a column wheel and vertical clutch. These characteristics result in exceptional chronometric performance and an impressive power reserve of approximately 80 hours.
The design of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing is in keeping with the unmistakable Porsche aesthetic, while also respecting its all-important surroundings: the racing world. Inspired by the blazing flash of a car on the asphalt, the vibrant orange color is used throughout the watch. Orange is also associated with fire, a symbol of speed. This orange can be seen in the Porsche logo on the bezel, the lacquer on the crown, and subtle graphic details on the dial, such as the "azurage" counters and the orange seconds hand.
Black is another key color of this special edition, enhancing the vibrancy of the orange with an even more elegant contrast. To enrich this harmony of finishes even further, TAG Heuer's designers used black in various textures and finishes. The case is treated with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC), a top-quality black treatment that not only gives the watch an extremely deep and elegant color but also ensures its resistance. The black dial finish is inspired by kinetics and speed.
Part of the legacy of the TAG Heuer Carrera x Porsche, launched in 2021 and 2022, is a custom-designed rotor that pays homage to Porsche steering wheels. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the rotor is inscribed with the words "Porsche" and "TAG Heuer." The black and orange hues, such as the column wheel, blend seamlessly with the design of the new watch.
Finally, the timepiece's black carbon-like calfskin strap accentuates the vibrant orange, providing the perfect finishing touch to the racing inspiration of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing. The stitching is a subtle nod to Porsche seats, and the bold contrast between the orange stitching and lining suggests the race tracks left by high-speed cars.
The special edition "TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing" is housed in a specially designed black TAG Heuer x Porsche double-brand packaging with bright orange details. "TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing" will be available at TAG Heuer boutiques, official online boutiques and selected TAG Heuer retailers.
