On May 15th, DU BOOKS will publish the photo book "HELLO//TEXAS: Vintage T-Shirts as Art Pieces."
Miyoshi Tomoyuki, owner of the Harajuku vintage T-shirt shop "HELLO//TEXAS," presents 100 never-before-seen photos from his private stock in full color. Photographer Takashi Homma and Tomohito Ushiro of WHITE DESIGN have teamed up to create this unprecedented "art T-shirt book," complete with Miyoshi's eccentric commentary. It's bilingual in Japanese and English.
Miyoshi, owner of Hello Texas, has endowed nameless T-shirts that have been overlooked as "nothing special," with a unique sense of value. Many creators share the owner's attitude, and the shop has been visited by many celebrities, including Eric Clapton.
