A new food event, "SHONAN MARKETTA," has started at Shonan T-SITE in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The first event will be held on the weekend of April 20th and 21st.

The theme of the event is "A fun, love-filled food festival." Sellers and buyers meet, talk, and eventually become acquainted...the aim is to expand the circle of the community that can share delicious food in this way. Participating stores include Romi-Unie Confiture, a jam and baked goods shop in Kamakura; Bred'or Hayama, a hugely popular bakery in Hayama that attracts fans from all over; POMPON CAKES, the miraculous mobile cake shop that suddenly appears on the streets of Kamakura; THE FIVE BEANS, a specialty coffee bean shop that roasts its own beans; Betsubara Donuts, a natural yeast donut shop (only on the 20th); and Iguru Hyouka, which sells ice pops in cute, casual packaging, bringing together some of the most popular stores in Shonan and Kamakura.
