Starting in May, Andaz Tokyo in Toranomon, Tokyo, will be serving a menu featuring sweet and juicy melons, which are in season in early summer.


The Tavern Grill & Lounge on the 51st floor will be offering a "Melon Afternoon Tea" from May 1st to June 30th.

The set includes sweets such as shortcake and jelly that allow you to enjoy the fragrant flavor of melon, as well as savory dishes such as a fragrant deep-fried pâté biscuit, which perfectly complements the sweetness of melon pulp and the saltiness of jambon blanc. The scones also contain fruit pulp, making this an afternoon tea that allows you to fully enjoy the refreshing aroma and juicy flavor of the season.


The pastry shop on the first floor will also be selling sweets made with luxurious melon.


The signature menu item, "Sweet Jar" (650 yen), combines coconut mousse with a jelly filled with plenty of two types of melon, red and green, for a dish that allows you to enjoy the rich sweetness of coconut and the freshness of melon. "Melon Charlotte" (580 yen), a two-layered coconut and melon mousse, is topped with melon sauce just before eating, for a refreshing sweetness that fills your mouth. Other items in the lineup include "Melon Shortcake" (600 yen) and "Melon Tart" (580 yen), among other "melon sweets." Sales will run from May 1st to June 30th.
