The Reborn-Art Festival 2019, a comprehensive arts festival featuring art, music, and food, will be held for 58 days from August 3rd to September 29th, mainly in the Ishinomaki and Oshika areas of Miyagi Prefecture.

The Reborn-Art Festival, chaired by music producer Takeshi Kobayashi, is a new comprehensive arts festival where visitors can enjoy art, music, and food in a natural setting, created together with local people. The first festival, held for 51 days from July 22nd, 2017, mainly in the Ishinomaki and Oshika areas, attracted a total of 260,000 visitors.
The Ishinomaki and Oshika areas were one of the areas severely affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. This will be a place where contemporary artists from Japan and abroad will visit, create artworks while interacting with the local community, hold music events of various styles, and have famous chefs from all over Japan meet local people and ingredients to serve dishes that can only be enjoyed here.It will be a place where many "encounters" will be generated. The aim is for these "encounters" to spark various cycles that will lead to regional revitalization and promotion.
