Spring is in the air, and I'm excited to start slowly changing my wardrobe. But at the same time, my hay fever symptoms have made my skin feel dry, red, and sensitive. Recently, I've found some skincare cosmetics that feel amazing on my skin!

The Shigeta Balancing Series we're introducing today focuses on the issue of preservatives, which can be a source of irritation, and on the "skin flora (microbiome)," which is closely related to skin health and beauty. It's a preservative-free "skincare series to restore healthy skin," safe for even delicate skin. The lineup includes three items: cleanser, lotion, and moisturizing cream. Each product is infused with the relaxing scent of lavender, geranium, and chamomile essential oils.




"Balancing Mild Cleanser" is a cream type with a very mild feel. Therefore, if you wear heavy makeup, it is better to remove your eye makeup and lipstick beforehand using a point makeup remover or similar. Your skin will feel very moisturized after washing. Incidentally, I have eyelash extensions, and even after using this cleanser, I didn't notice any of my extensions falling off. While results will vary from person to person, I recommend that those who wear eyelash extensions also give it a try! 

"Balancing Moisture Lotion" is a lotion that feels very refreshing. The liquid is very smooth. It absorbs so well into the skin that, frankly, it feels so good I can't stop splashing it on... While many lotions have a slimy texture, this one is as light as water, in a good way.

Among them, my favorite is the "Balancing Moisture Cream." After a while, the sticky feeling typical of thick face creams disappears, making it perfect for days when you're going makeup-free. Imagine it as a soft, marshmallow-like sensation on your skin, which feels amazing.

This is a new product that was just released, so I recommend giving it a try. Especially if you're experiencing skin irritation from pollen or have sensitive skin.
