Director Hirokazu Koreeda and other celebrities wearing Armani attend the 76th Cannes Film Festival

The 76th Cannes Film Festival was held from May 16th to 27th this year in Cannes, a luxury resort town facing the Côte d'Azur on the Mediterranean coast in southeastern France. Japanese director Hirokazu Koreeda and other notable celebrities appeared wearing Armani.


Director Koreeda, who won the Palme d'Or in 2018 for "Shoplifters," submitted the Korean film "Baby Broker" last year and was nominated for the competition category for the second consecutive year this year for "The Monster." He appeared on the red carpet wearing a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure tuxedo. A regular at international film festivals, Koreeda's dignified style also attracted keen attention.

Yota Hiiragi, who plays the lead role in the film, looks fresh in a black tuxedo from Emporio Armani Junior, and also wore an Emporio Armani Junior suit for his press interview.

Cate Blanchett, the first global ambassador for Armani Beauty, stars as a nun in "The New Boy," the new film by Australian director Warwick Thornton, known for "Sweet Country." During her press interview, she sported the new Giorgio Armani FW23 collection with the dignity and elegance only a great actress can have.

Robert De Niro and Robbie Williams, who star in master director Martin Scorsese's latest film, "Killers of the Moon," wore Giorgio Armani tuxedos along with Scorsese.

And Irina Shayk, who was also chosen to appear in the advertising visuals for the upcoming season, Irina Shayk wore a navy Giorgio Armani Privé dress with a beautiful tulle ruffle design on the skirt.

Model Alessandra Ambrosio appeared in a 1994 vintage Giorgio Armani dress with a beautiful silhouette, and they particularly wowed the audience.

This is Scorsese's first screening at Cannes since 1985's "After Hours," for which he was nominated for the Palme d'Or and won Best Director, and attention was also focused on the cast. Not only were celebrities featured in the film, but Princess Maria Chiara e Maria Carolina di Borbone of the Kingdom of Sicily also graced the venue with her beautiful ecru-colored, ruffled, one-shoulder Giorgio Armani dress.

The Cannes Film Festival is one of the many film festivals that attracts a lot of attention, not only for the films themselves but also for the outfits worn by celebrities.
