The art space "ART UP" opened on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building on February 27th. The store's commemorative inaugural exhibition, "inaiinaibaanai," will feature artist baanai.


In advance of the remodeled reopening of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building in March, Men's Creators will open on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building.

On this floor, which has traditionally been home to cutting-edge fashion, a new space called "ART UP" will be opened, focusing on the exhibition and sale of art. The space will introduce a variety of artists and their works, curated by the store's buyers from their own unique perspectives.

The first artist to feature in this commemorative event is paint artist baanai, known for his artwork for COMME des GARÇONS and his acclaimed collaborations with RVCA, audio technica, MINE DENIM, CONVERSE SKATEBOARDING, and more. A total of over 100 pieces will be exhibited and for sale, ranging from newly drawn artwork to unreleased archive pieces.

In recent years, baanai has been conducting experimental art, asking himself, "What would happen if I continued to paint 'ARIGATOUGOZAIMASU' as art without taking a break for a single day?"
