Experience the new world of Burberry by Riccardo Tisci early on: a report on the Shinjuku Isetan pop-up

The new Burberry, with Riccardo Tisci as Chief Creative Officer, has opened a pop-up store at The Stage in Isetan Shinjuku. Selected items from Riccardo Tisci's debut collection are available for early sale in Asia.



The theme of the brand's debut Spring/Summer 2019 season is "Kingdom." The collection showcases the diversity of Britain through a variety of approaches, from formal looks that offer a modern interpretation of the house's heritage to casual looks inspired by the London vibe Riccardo experienced while studying at Central Saint Martins, as well as punk and street culture. The venue, where Riccardo Tisci himself conducted a detailed creative check, was based on the Maison's signature color of beige (honey), and featured a wide range of items, from eye-catching items from the show such as the "car coat" that appeared in the first look, "TB bag" featuring a monogram clasp with a TB motif, "TB" printed clothing and shoes, and animal motif clothing, to T-shirts, leather accessories, scarves, jewelry, and more, creating a space where visitors could get a first taste of the new world of Burberry.




And this time, three exclusive items have also been released for the pop-up store: a pastel pink TB bag, the chignon scarf worn by the models with their hair tied in chignons in the show, and a Boston bag printed with a deer motif. "TB Bag," exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku store.

Riccardo Tisci's new striped pattern (bottom right) is an interpretation of Burberry's iconic check pattern.
The pattern is also available on scarves, shorts, and shirts.


During the show, the display windows along Meiji Dori at Isetan Shinjuku will be decked out in Burberry. Experience the commemorative world of the new Burberry for yourself.

The collection will also be arriving in Osaka from February 20th. The pop-up store will be open at Kotokoto Stage 11 on the first floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store from the 20th to the 26th, and will move to the third floor of the same store from February 27th to June 18th. In addition, the first accessory store will also open on the first floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store on February 27th.
