Function, fashion, and time. At this season's Men's Fashion Weeks in Milan and Paris, where some voices have begun to move away from athleisure, COMME des GARÇONS JUNYA WATANABE MAN clearly demonstrated the status of its brand.

On January 19th, the brand's Fall/Winter 2019-20 men's collection was held in Paris, showcasing a mixture of styles that could be said to be its identity, with a collection themed "Silver Swagger." Featuring models from the silver generation, accompanied by music by artists like Iggy Pop and Tom Waits, the collection presented a worldview that reflected the youth, street, and athleisure trends of the past few years, all integrated into Junya's signature real clothing.
The jacket is made up of various components reminiscent of vintage men's fashion. For example, the sleeves feature a small pattern and a jacquard knit with a tribal motif. A closer look reveals a heart pattern in the small pattern. The front features gray worsted stripes and checks. The lining is nylon or quilted. The back references outdoor motifs such as working jackets, quilted nylon, and hunting jackets. The MA-1 jacket features a glen check pattern with a washed finish on the sleeves and collar. This season, the brand's signature patchwork technique extends beyond patterns to patchwork components.
Sizes range from snug to tight. Washing and aging create new value. Style freedom without straying from authentic rules. Men with unique faces walked the runway with a sense of joy.

This season's collection is packed with collaborations, including Turnbull & Asser, Levi's, Canada Goose, and New Balance.
