Musician Chara's exhibition "Chara Art Living Room “LITTLE HEARTBEAT”" will begin on February 9th at The Blend Inn hotel in Konohana Ward, Osaka.



This exhibition, which will be held as a traveling exhibition following the one that ran until January 14th at B GALLERY in Beams Japan in Tokyo, will feature installations throughout the hotel, focusing on the lobby and guest rooms, that bring to life the world of "LITTLE HEARTBEAT," a picture book co-authored with Chara's sister, Watabiki Mitsuko, which was published to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Chara's birth. In addition, The Blend Inn will be selling exclusive items, including tote bags (tentative price: ¥4,000) and T-shirts, to coincide with the exhibition. The picture book "LITTLE HEARTBEAT" is written by Chara and illustrated by Mitsuko Watabiki. It tells the story of a girl living quietly somewhere in the world who embarks on an adventure after a certain incident. It's a fantasy tale of encounters with various creatures through childhood memories of her family, her own experiences, and the power of imagination. The set also includes a CD of "Mada Minu Anata e," a song written by Chara specifically for the book. "I asked my sister because I knew that doing something new would open up a whole new world. I love her so much that we took action together. Taking a step forward is important," says Chara. The first-floor exhibition is open to non-guests. The Blend Inn is a three-story concrete building. The space, designed by Shimada Yo Architects and Dot Architects, features a high-ceiling ceiling, an open lounge, and guest rooms, all of which are comfortable and stylish, and are used daily by many people from both Japan and overseas.
