At CAGE GALLERY, the window frames facing the street serve as the gallery space. Throughout the exhibition, which runs until March 31st, three artists - Hana Sawada, Shinichiro Kano, and Yusuke Takeda - will be exhibiting works in rotation, utilizing the gallery and the surrounding "windows."
Born in 1992, Riku Iioka is a curator whose previous projects include "New Rube Goldberg Machine" (KAYOKOYUKI/Komagome Warehouse, Tokyo) and "Sunlight and..." (Terrace Keikaku/Sapporo).
This exhibition, which takes CAGE GALLERY itself and its surrounding area as its subject, aims to reinvent exhibition and appreciation. Iioka has captured the magnetic field of the surrounding environment created by CAGE GALLERY and incorporated it into his curation. The first period begins with Sawada Hana, followed by Kano's second period and Takeda's third period, and is presented as a new interpretation of the relationship between the city and images, as if moving from window to window.
