A pink utopia has appeared! KLOKA chocolate shop opens again this year at Ginza Mitsukoshi

Event Date:2019.01.23-02.14
Jan 17, 2019
KLOKA, a creative studio known for creating a variety of fantastical food art pieces, will be hosting a limited-time chocolate shop offering a magical Valentine's Day experience, "the SMALL UTOPIA by KLOKA," from January 23rd to February 14th at the Ginza Terrace on the 9th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi.

KLOKA has previously presented unique projects such as "THE CHOCOLATE COSMOS by KLOKA," in which visitors can carve chocolate planets on the spot. With a worldview that embodies childhood dreams, a mysterious story with a touch of negativity, and meticulous spatial design, KLOKA has garnered significant buzz for its experiential food art creations that make visitors feel as if they have wandered into another world. For Valentine's Day 2019, KLOKA presents an unusual chocolate shop where mechanical dolls invite you to a "pink utopia." Based on the theme of mechanical dolls that continue to operate even thousands of years after the extinction of humanity, you can enjoy watching the dolls actually serve you in a paradise-like "OMOTENASHI mansion."

"TAMATEBAKO" (2,963 yen)
Going through the entrance to the venue, which is designed to resemble a shrine, you will come across a paradise-like garden and mansion. The mechanical dolls working there will deliver a fun set called "TAMATEBAKO." You can choose your favorite combination from four types of chocolate ganache paste and ten types of monaka, resulting in over 200 possible combinations. The complete set also includes a mini book introducing the secrets of Small Utopia and the dolls, as well as a bonus "oval coin." You can also add optional strings, tassels, and mini charms to further customize it to your liking.

"MAMORIFUDA" (1,450 yen each)
In addition, KLOKA's original sweets, which are carefully crafted not only for their appearance but also for their taste and texture, are also available. The menu features a variety of exclusive sweets, including "GOHOUBI MONAKA" (500 yen), a smooth, high-quality ganache paste centered around milky soft serve ice cream topped with a generous amount of peach puree; "OMOTENASHI LAKE" (463 yen), a ruby cacao hot chocolate served from the foot of a pink waterfall; and "MAMORIFUDA" (1,450 yen each), a tablet filled with mint chocolate cookies renowned for their delicious flavor and beloved by many.

This is a hugely popular event where you can fully enjoy Kloka's unique utopia, and lines are sure to be lined up. Because this event is so popular every year, advance tickets with priority entry can be reserved online for free this year.
