From December 12th to January 8th, 2019, the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store's food section on the first basement floor of the main building will be featuring items perfect for New Year's gifts. Each shop will be stocked with items perfect for New Year's gatherings and New Year's gifts. The lineup centers around the "boar," the zodiac animal for 2019. Items include Japanese sweets with zodiac designs and wine with boar-themed labels.

Tawaraya Yoshitomi's "Zodiac Manju: Boar"

These zodiac-themed manju are made with beautifully browned Momoyama-style dough and white bean paste wrapped around them. This product from Tawaraya Yoshitomi, founded in 1755, is characterized by its cute appearance and the refined taste you'd expect from a long-established shop.
