To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the release of the original "INFOBAR" designed by product designer Naoto Fukasawa, KDDI and Okinawa Cellular will simultaneously release the 4G LTE mobile phone "INFOBAR xv" nationwide on November 29th. The new phone incorporates 15 years of advancements, including LINE and +Message.
"INFOBAR xv"
Like the original "INFOBAR" released in October 2003, the "INFOBAR xv" was designed by product designer Naoto Fukasawa. While retaining the beloved design and color, it also features a frameless numeric keypad, something previous INFOBAR models had been striving for but were unable to achieve.

It is a mobile phone equipped with modern features and services that reflect the 15 years of evolution since the original "INFOBAR," including a 3.1-inch WVGA LCD display, an approximately 8-megapixel camera, tethering functionality, LINE, and, for the first time on an au 4G LTE phone, support for "+Message" and a "smartphone voice assistant call function."

"INFOBAR xv"
It comes in three colors: "NISHIKIGOI," "NASUKON," and "CHERRY BERRY." The INFOBAR xv comes with a specially designed SIM card eject pin for removing the SIM card, and a desktop holder that can be used as a clock while charging, all of which are specially designed by Fukasawa, allowing users to enjoy using the INFOBAR xv even more. Stylish covers for the INFOBAR xv will also be released sequentially from the official au accessory line, the "au +1 collection." Furthermore, the INFOBAR xv will be exhibited at the VINYL MUSEUM, an empathetic photogenic art exhibition, to be held at the Omotesando BANK GALLERY from November 29th to December 12th. The exhibition has been generating buzz since last year for its various art booths where visitors can take photogenic photos and post them on social media. One of the booths will feature an object inspired by the INFOBAR xv.
