The first Kansai area store of Granny Smith Apple Pie & Coffee, a specialty homemade apple pie shop, will open on November 21st on the third floor of Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens Gate in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture. The store will sell a "Salted Caramel Apple Pie" as a limited-edition item.
Granny Smith, which opened in Mishuku, Tokyo in 2012, is a specialty apple pie shop that continues to create authentic apple pies, using different apple varieties for each menu item to maximize the natural flavor of the apples. The Nishinomiya store, the first to open in the Kansai area, is located in the concourse directly connected to the busy Hankyu Nishinomiya Kitaguchi Station and will be Granny Smith's largest store. You can take out apple pies, specialty coffees, and various drinks, or eat them in the attached cafe. It can be enjoyed both as takeout or in the eat-in option; takeout is 486 yen per slice, tax included, while eat-in options include vanilla ice cream and sauce and cost 702 yen per slice, tax included.
An opening campaign will also be held to commemorate the opening of the new store. Starting November 21st, the first 200 customers who spend ¥3,240 or more will receive an original mini tote bag. Additionally, from November 21st to 30th, the first 100 customers each day will receive an original coffee drip pack made with organic beans. The original mini tote bag giveaway will end while supplies last.
