Adidas Originals releases new collection "Never Made" in pure white, connecting the past and future

Release Date:2018.11.19
Nov 16, 2018
adidas Originals will release the sophisticated "Triple White Never Made Pack" on November 19th, part of its new "Never Made" concept, which combines archive design with cutting-edge innovation.

"Never Made" is a concept of footwear that literally "never was ever made," born from the fusion of groundbreaking silhouettes and the technology that supports them.

The sampled archive models date from the '70s to '90s. By combining designs evocative of the dawn of sports shoes and sneaker culture with the brand's latest innovations, this collection connects the past and the future. The best of each era are elevated into silhouettes that could only be realized now.

"Ix4D" G28389 (45,000 yen)
The 1970s models are known as the "BEST OF THE 70S," and a total of three models have been released that have been reinterpreted through the concept of a modern running silhouette. The "Ix4D" (45,000 yen) is based on the "I-5923" silhouette, which originates from the retro design of the 70s, and is equipped with the revolutionary "ADIDAS 4D" midsole, an otherworldly structure created through Adidas' latest innovation. The "COUNTRYxKAMANDA" (16,000 yen) combines the upper design of the "Country," which was created as a cross-country running shoe suitable for any terrain, with the terrace culture-inspired gum sole of the "Kamanda." Meanwhile, the "MARATHONx5923" (16,000 yen) combines the mesh upper and suede overlays of the "Marathon," one of the brand's early running silhouettes, with the BOOST foam of the "I-5923."

"MICROPACERxR1" G28940 (22,000 yen)
The 1980s models, titled "80S RUNNING ICONS," feature three footwear models that combine the tooling of the "NMD_R1" from the "NMD" series, one of the innovations that most symbolizes Adidas today.

The "MICROPACERxR1" (22,000 yen) is an update of the pioneering "Micropacer" that was first released in 1984, with white leather, a digital stopwatch on the tongue, and the BOOST foam from the "NMD" in the sole.

The "BOSTONSUPERxR1" (18,000 yen) is based on the "Boston Runner," a design iconic to Adidas in the 1980s, and features BOOST foam instead of the original rubber sole. The "RISINGSTARxR1" (19,000 yen) also features a white leather upper with subtle three stripes and a colorful EVA midsole.

"98xCRAZYBYW" G28390 (¥20,000)
Two models, "98xCRAZYBYW" (¥20,000) and "ZX930xEQT" (¥20,000), were developed under the theme of "GENETICALLY MODIFIED 90'S TECH."

The "98xCRAZYBYW" features the split sole of "Feet You Wear (FYW)," which was created to meet the needs of basketball fans in the 90s, bringing unprecedented comfort to the feet of people at the time. This hybrid model features the FYW Badge of Sports logo and incorporates the BOOST foam from the CRAZY BYW. The ZX930xEQT features the upper design of the ZX930 from the ZX series with an EQT midsole. The Triple White Never Made Pack will be available at the adidas Originals Flagship Store Tokyo, adidas Originals shops nationwide, adidas Brand Core Stores Sendai, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Nagoya, and Hiroshima, the adidas online shop, atmos, UNDEFEATED, KICKS LAB., BILLY'S ENT, and ABC-MART GRAND STAGE.
