ISSEY MIYAKE will release its limited-edition holiday collection, "FLORIOGRAPHY," on November 15th.
The theme for the 2018 holiday season is "various things." Celebrations, gratitude, encouragement, invitations. Special feelings and everyday words alike. The brand will offer floral letters and corsages made with ISSEY MIYAKE textiles to convey all of these "various" feelings.
The "FLORIOGRAPHY" collection, which means the language of flowers, features imaginary flower designs made using the brand's original material, "Steam Stretch," which is fabric with pre-woven creases that changes into a three-dimensional form when steam is applied. This year's lineup includes corsages (6,000 yen each), hair ties (7,000 yen each), charms (8,000 yen each), and charms exclusive to the store (12,000 yen each), and you can choose from a variety of flower designs and multiple colors, from gorgeous and voluminous types like roses and hydrangeas to delicate types like freesias.

The pastel-colored wrapping that encases the flowers is a message card, printed with short keywords such as "YOU," "TWO," "COLOURS," and "STORY." It's fun to circle the words you want to convey and then write your own message. The holiday season is a time to think of loved ones.
