Italian luxury down brand MOORER opens its first flagship store in Japan in Ginza

Sep 27, 2018
Italian luxury down brand MooRER will open its first flagship store in Japan on September 28th in Ginza 4-Chome. The first store opened in Milan's Via della Spiga in November 2016, and the Ginza store will be the brand's second and first overseas store.

MooRER was founded in 2006 by Moreno Faccincani, who inherited his family's down jacket manufacturing business in Verona, Italy. Using the finest white goose down, the brand boasts a high fill power and is known for its excellent heat retention and light weight, earning it the nickname "tailored down."

The geese used by the company are raised outdoors during the day and indoors at night in stress-free conditions, undergo regular veterinary inspections, and are thoroughly washed 10 times and debrided four times in accordance with Italian government standards. All processing, including sewing, is carried out in Italy.

Both men's and women's lines are available, with the average price range for down jackets being 180,000 to 250,000 yen for men and 150,000 to 500,000 yen for women. Ginza store-exclusive items are also available.
