Tiffany places a special emphasis on environmental conservation on the African continent, where many of the diamonds and gemstones used in its products originate and where its diamond cutting and polishing workshops are located. Its mission is to support the Wildlife Conservation Network and innovative funds working to save endangered African wildlife. As part of Tiffany's ongoing commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection, 100% of sales profits from this collection will support conservation efforts for endangered elephants, rhinos, and lions. The collection's breadth expands with the addition of lion and rhino designs to complement the elephant. Since launching the collection in 2017 in support of the #KnotOnMyPlanet campaign, Tiffany has raised over $2 million by April 2018, more than double its initial pledge, to support efforts to eradicate poaching and illegal trade and reduce the demand for ivory. As a result, the Elephant Crisis Fund (ECF), part of the Wildlife Conservation Network, is working with partners to ban the domestic trade of ivory in China and Hong Kong. The new charms will raise awareness of the issue while continuing to provide much-needed financial support to protect endangered wildlife and the environment.
The new charms, crafted from sterling silver and 18K rose gold, are available in select stores and online from September 15th.
