Following the redevelopment of the women's, living, and baby and children's categories that began in 2013, this remodeling aims to respond to "changing customer needs" by deepening the essence of authenticity, expanding the product lineup, proposing new styles, and providing new customer experiences, thereby creating new value.
In addition, to expand customer contact points, we will work to create new contact points tailored to customer lifestyles by expanding and building new approaches and methods, including digital technologies. Specifically, we will deepen our services and provide a variety of value by converting the time and profits saved by digitizing our business flow into "value" that can be provided to customers through customer service.
The remodeling will be carried out in two phases. The first phase, from autumn 2018 to spring 2019, will target the Men's Building, which opened in 2003 and is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. In response to challenges arising from changes in customers and the environment surrounding department stores, the Men's Building will reexamine its strengths of "fashion and commitment" and further refine all of its products, services, and environment from a global perspective.
The remodeling is being carried out with the aim of expanding global products and services in pursuit of the world's most cutting-edge, highest quality fashion, reorganizing the casual floor to accommodate changing lifestyles and diversifying values, expanding the range of customizable products to satisfy individual desires, and improving the communication environment. On September 19th, a shoe order salon will open on the first basement floor of the Men's Building, and authentic wear will open on the seventh floor of the Men's Building. Each floor of the Men's Building will then be remodeled sequentially through spring 2019.
Then, from spring/summer 2019 through fiscal 2019, the main building will be remodeled to strengthen its selection of watches, jewelry, cosmetics, and luxury brands. The remodeling will respond to the changes in customers seen since the 2013 redevelopment, and provide a cutting-edge product lineup and service.
