On September 14th, Stone Island opened its first flagship store in Japan and its 22nd worldwide, "STONE ISLAND TOKYO," in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
Stone Island is an iconic brand known for its research and processing of fibers and fabrics used in innovative designs.
Since its founding in 1982, continuous and limitless in-depth research has led to the discovery of materials and production techniques never before used in the apparel industry.
The newly opened two-story building, approximately 300 square meters, displays the Stone Island and Stone Island Shadow Project collections, making effective use of exposed concrete and glass.
The floor of the exhibition space is paved with large diamond-shaped stones, steel, natural oak, aluminum, fiberglass, and carbon, with colorful and clear glass sandwiched in between.
A jacket commemorating the opening of the flagship store will be on sale on October 5th.
