Toraya Akasaka store will reopen on October 1st. The Toraya Akasaka Gallery on the basement floor will hold its first special exhibition, "Toraya's Yokan Design Exhibition," from October 1st to December 30th. 

The gallery plans to hold special exhibitions and events related to Japanese sweets and Japanese culture, as well as document exhibitions from the Toraya Bunko collection. At the time of the reopening, the first special exhibition, titled "Toraya's Yokan Design Exhibition," will focus on Toraya's yokan designs.
The exhibition will display approximately 450 yokan designs drawn in a confectionery sample book from 1918. Other exhibits will include tools and ingredients used in making yokan, yokan inspired by famous places around Japan, and recent yokan designs. Additionally, during the exhibition, several types of yokan will be selected from the sample book and reprinted for sale in limited quantities.
